Fantastic weekend of club championships. Saturday saw the semi finals where Michael Havelberg overcame Tim Fennell and Jamie Wekwerth prevailed over David Ash in A Grade. B Grade saw John Bennett win against John Rimmer after beating Rex Stephens in the sudden death play off and Glenn McColl winning against Peter Mastin. In C Grade Mark Tizard won against Bob Lawrence and Andrew Dalgleish defeated Peter Crosset who had won through after beating Julian Thompson in the play off. D Grade had Tom Limb winning against Noel Pike and David Jones beating Ian O’Donnell. Sunday in trying conditions saw a great battle between Michael Havelberg and Jamie Wekwerth with Michael prevailing after a marathon 33 holes. B grade went to John Bennett after a close battle with Glenn McColl. C Grade was another tight match with Andrew Dalgleish beating Mark Tizard. The closest match was D Garde where it went down to the last hole with Tom Limb edging out David Jones. Congratulations to all involved.
Today (15th of September, 2020), the grounds staff have begun removing some Gum trees (along the 10th), a couple of Cypress trees, and others. They will continue to remove more over time. This will create a great view of the bay from the Clubhouse! See the photos for current progress.
